High working voltage: The working voltage of lithium-ion batteries is as high as 3.6V, which is 3 times that of nickel-chromium and nickel-hydrogen batteries, and 2 times that of lead-acid batteries. High energy density: Lithium-ion batteries have high working voltage and low lithium density, so the mass energy density (200Wh/kg) and volumetric energy density (350Wh/L) of lithium-ion batteries are very large, which is 3 times that of lead-acid batteries (50-70Wh/kg).

Advantages

High working voltage:The working voltage of lithium-ion batteries is as high as 3.6V, which is 3 times that of nickel-chromium and nickel-hydrogen batteries, and 2 times that of lead-acid batteries.

Large energy density:Lithium-ion batteries have high working voltage and low lithium density, so the mass energy density (200Wh/kg) and volume energy density (350Wh/L) of lithium-ion batteries are very large, which is 3 times that of lead-acid batteries (50-70Wh/kg).

Low self-discharge rate:When the lithium ion battery does not apply an external load, the capacity drop caused by the internal spontaneous reaction is low.

Long cycle life:Lithium-ion batteries in practical applications can be cycled and charged more than 1000 times.

No memory effect:The battery capacity will not decrease due to undischarged charging.

Wide operating temperature range:-20 ℃-60 ℃.

Disadvantages

Higher cost:It is 3-4 times the price of lead-acid batteries with the same capacity.

Poor low temperature performance:The use of organic solution as the electrolyte limits its low-temperature performance. Low-temperature charging is easy to generate additional overpotential at the negative electrode, causing the occurrence of lithium evolution, affecting battery life and * *.

Poor overcharge performance:If the charging voltage exceeds a certain value, the electrolyte, electrode active materials, etc. will decompose due to poor thermal stability, release a large amount of heat, and affect the battery * *.

**Poor sex:The high energy density causes its failure to release a large amount of energy instantly, which is easy to cause violent accidents such as explosions.
